Turnover on NSE's F&O segment drops
The Nifty October 2017 futures traded at 10,196.20, a premium of 11.35 points over Nifty's spot closing of 10,184.85 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment dropped to Rs 6.99 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 11.04 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 38.30 points or 0.38% to settle at 10,184.85, its highest closing level since 18 October 2017.
Reliance Industries (RIL), Bharti Airtel, HDFC Bank, Havells India and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. RIL October 2017 futures traded at 938.60, at a discount from spot closing of 940.10. Bharti Airtel October 2017 futures traded at 496.80, at a discount from spot closing of 497.05.

HDFC Bank October 2017 futures traded at 1867.90, at a premium over spot closing of 1865.85. Havells India October 2017 futures traded at 542.10, at a premium over spot closing of 541.70. ICICI Bank October 2017 futures traded at 262.25, at a discount from spot closing of 262.45.
The October 2017 F&O contracts expire on 26 October 2017.
