Nikkei falls as North Korea bomb test spooks investors

The Japan share market finished session lower on Monday, 04 September 2017, as investors moved into haven assets and sold stocks after North Korea carried out its sixth and most powerful nuclear test on Sunday, hailing it as a perfect success. Most of TSE sectors declined, with Marine transportation, real estate, and information and communication-linked issues comprised those that declined the most by the close of the trade. At the close, the benchmark Nikkei 225 average lost 183.22 points, or 0.93%, to 19,508.25. The Topix, including all first-section issues, finished down 16.04 points, or 0.99%, at 1,603.55.
