NTPC Ltd rose for a fifth straight session today

Meanwhile, Nifty Energy index of which NTPC Ltd is a constituent, has added around 2.8% in last one month and is currently quoting at 13638.35, up 0.44% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 29.88 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 43.49 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark April futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 177.65, up 2.13% on the day. NTPC Ltd is up 9.71% in last one year as compared to a 15.37% gain in NIFTY and a 13.85% gain in the Nifty Energy index.

The PE of the stock is 14.27 based on TTM earnings ending December 17.
