OnMobile Global jumps on partnership renewal with Movistar

OnMobile Global rose 5.17% to Rs 86.45 at 11:56 IST on BSE after the company said it secured multi-year Ringback Tones partnership renewal with Movistar in Latin America.

The announcement was made during trading hours today, 22 June 2015.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 303.29 points, or 1.11%, to 27,619.46.

On BSE, so far 2.95 lakh shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 2.89 lakh shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 89.95 and a low of Rs 82.85 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 98.30 on 6 February 2015. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 28.30 on 4 September 2014.

 

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 19 June 2015, rising 6.89% compared with 1.19% fall in the Sensex. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 15.86% as against Sensex's 4.05% fall.

The small-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 115.08 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

OnMobile Global, a leading provider of mobile music offerings, announced that it has renewed its existing partnership with Telefonica's Movistar operators in Latin American Spanish speaking countries. As per the agreement, OnMobile will continue to power its flagship Ringback Tone (RBT) service to Movistar's 132 million plus subscribers across 13 countries in Latin America for the next four years.

The renewal of this agreement fortifies OnMobile's global partnership with Telefonica, a leader in digital transformation and reiterates OnMobile's position as the market leader in RBT products, OnMobile Global said in a statement.

Telefonica is one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world in terms of market capitalization and number of customers.

OnMobile Global reported net loss of Rs 14.59 crore in Q4 March 2015 as against net loss of Rs 139.16 crore in Q4 March 2014. Net sales declined 4.94% to Rs 214.00 crore in Q4 March 2015 over Q4 March 2014.
