Among the other constituents of the index, Vodafone Idea Ltd decreased 4.37% and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd lost 4.35% on the day. The S&P BSE Telecom index went up 4.32 % over last one year compared to the 12.23% surge in benchmark SENSEX.
