Esab India announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on 06 November 2014 has approved the change in the designation of Rohit Gambhir from Executive Director and Chief Executive to Managing Director with effect from 01 November 2014.Rohit Gambhir was earlier appointed by the Board of Directors on 30 October 2013 as Executive Director and Chief Executive with effect from 01 November 2013 for a period of five years in compliance with section 203 of the Companies Act, 2013. The Shareholders subsequently at the Annual General Meeting held on 25 April 2014 approved the said appointment of Rohit Gambhir as Executive Director and Chief Executive for five years from 01 November 2013.
The approval of Board of Directors is now accorded for re-designating Rohit Gambhir as Managing Director with effect from 01 November 2014.
