UltraTech Cement announced that the Board at its meeting held on 23 January 2015 has approved signing of the Definitive Agreement with Jaiprakash Associates (JAL) for the acquisition of the cement units of JALlocated at Bela and Sidhi in Madhya Pradesh. The acquisition will be by way of a Scheme of Arrangement (the Scheme) between JAL and the Company and their respective shareholders and creditors.The acquisition is subject to the approval of shareholders and creditors, sanction of the Scheme of Arrangement by the High Courts, approval of the Competition Commission of India and all other statutory approvals.
