PGCIL drops 6.36% in three sessions

Power Grid Corporation of India dropped 0.08% to Rs 127.95 at 9:30 IST on BSE, with the stock extending previous two sessions' 6.29% losses.

Shares of Power Grid Corporation of India dropped 6.29% to settle at Rs 128.05 on 23 September 2015 from a recent high of Rs 136.65 on 21 September 2015. From a recent high of Rs 136.65 on 21 September 2015, the stock has dropped 6.36% to current ruling price of Rs 127.95.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 18.87 points or 0.07% at 25,804.12.

On BSE, so far, 624 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 1.31 lakh shares in the past two weeks.

 

The stock hit high of Rs 128.25 and low of Rs 127.40 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 159 on 28 February 2015. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 120.75 on 10 September 2015.

PGCIL's net profit rose 20.23% to Rs 1366.51 crore on 17.49% growth in total income to Rs 4787.96 crore in Q1 June 2015 over Q1 June 2014.

PGCIL, a navaratna Central Public Sector Enterprise, is India's largest electric power transmission utility. Government of India holds 57.9% stake in PGCIL (as per the shareholding pattern as on 30 June 2015).
