Power Grid Corp slips after Q3 PBT falls nearly 9%

Power Grid Corporation of India fell 3.05% to Rs 181.20 after it announced its Q3 earnings after market hours yesterday.

The corporation reported 13.90% rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 2672.03 crore in Q3 December 2019 as compared to Rs 2345.97 crore reported in the same period last year.

Profit before tax was down 9.2% to Rs 3,498.06 crore in Q3 December 2019 as against Rs 3,851.15 crore in Q3 December 2018.

Net sales rose 7.2% to Rs 9364.36 crore in Q3 December 2019 from Rs 8735.75 crore in Q3 December 2018.

Total tax expenses of the corporation have come down sharply in the December quarter to Rs 826.03 crore, down by 45.12% from Rs 1505.18 crore in Q3 December 2018.

 

Power Grid Corporation of India has been established by the Government of India as the central transmission utility of India.
