Power Grid Corporation of India successfully bids for transmission system projects in Rajasthan

Power Grid Corporation of India announced that -

A) The company has been declared as the successful bidder under Tariff based competitive bidding to establish transmission system for Construction of Ajmer (PG)-Phagi 765 kV D/C line along with associated bays for Rajasthan SEZ on build, own operate and maintain (BOOM) basis. The Letter of Intent (Loi) dated 29 August 2019 has been issued to Power Grid Corporation of India. The Transmission system will traverse the State of Rajasthan; and

B) The company pursuant to its selection as the successful bidder under Tariff based competitive bidding, has on 29 August, 2019 acquired Khetri Transco (KTL), the Project SPV to establish Transmission System associated with LTA application from Rajasthan SEZ (Part -C), on build, own, operate and maintain (BOOM) basis from REC Transmission Projects Company (the Bid Process Coordinator).

 

The transmission system comprises 765kV and 400kV lines apart from establishing a new 765/400kV Substation at Khetri, Rajasthan. The transmission system is an Inter State Transmission System Project and is to be completed by December 2020.
