Praj Industries advanced 2.44% to Rs 84 at 11:06 IST on BSE after the company appointed Shishir Joshipura as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director for a period of five years with effect from 2 April 2018.
The announcement was made during market hours today, 15 March 2018.Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 26.06 points or 0.08% at 33,809.68. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index advanced 0.69%, outperforming the Sensex.
On the BSE, 94,000 shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 3.17 lakh shares in the past one quarter. The stock had hit a high of Rs 85.50 and a low of Rs 82.40 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 131.50 on 12 January 2018 and a 52-week low of Rs 61 on 18 October 2017.
The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 36.17 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.
On a consolidated basis, Praj Industries' net profit fell 48.6% to Rs 7.53 crore on 12.8% growth in net sales to Rs 248.28 crore in Q3 December 2017 over Q3 December 2016.
