Pratibha Industries rose 4.55% to Rs 35.65 at 10:45 IST on BSE after the company secured a work order worth of Rs 376.07 crore for providing drinking water from Singur Source in Medak district, Telangana.
The announcement was made before market hours today, 23 September 2015.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 65.80 points or 0.26% at 25,586.04
On BSE, so far 1.54 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 1.28 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 35.70 and a low of Rs 33.45 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 32.95 on 8 September 2015. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 60 on 13 November 2014.
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 22 September 2015, falling 24.22% compared with Sensex's 6.26% fall. The stock had also underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 12% as against Sensex's 7.49% fall.

The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 20.21 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.
Pratibha Industries secured the work order from TDWSP, Circle, Sangareddy, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department, Government of Telangana for providing drinking water to Sangareddy Segment from Singur Source in Medak district including operation and maintenance, for ten years after commissioning (including DLP of five years). The project is to be completed within 18 months from the date of commencement, Pratibha Industries said.
On consolidated basis, Pratibha Industries' net profit fell 16.2% to Rs 9.24 crore on 26.1% growth in net sales to Rs 870.94 crore in Q1 June 2015 over Q1 June 2014.
