Pricol surged 7.17% to Rs 28.40 at 11:23 IST on BSE after net profit jumped 345.1% to Rs 11.93 crore on 6.1% growth in net sales to Rs 210.67 crore in Q3 December 2013 over Q3 December 2012.
The Q3 result was announced after market hours on Tuesday, 4 February 2014.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 122.65 points or 0.61% at 20,089.28.
On BSE, so far 1.36 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 59,920 shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 29.50 and a low of Rs 27.15 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 31.70 on 31 December 2013. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 14.35 on 26 March 2013.
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 4 February 2014, declining 5.36% compared with Sensex's 3.07% fall. The scrip had, however, outperformed the market in past one quarter, jumping 33.17% as against Sensex's 4.84% fall.
