Ramco Systems spurts on winning new contract

Ramco Systems rose 9.60% to Rs 685 at 15:22 IST on BSE after the company said it received a contract from Vietnam-based Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company.

The announcement was made during trading hours today, 3 March 2015.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 120.36 points, or 0.41%, to 29,579.50.

On BSE, so far 54,000 shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 12,671 shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 719 so far during the day, which is also a 52-week high for the counter. The stock hit a low of Rs 624 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 156.25 on 16 March 2014.

 

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 2 March 2015, rising 40.77% compared with 1.16% rise in the Sensex. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 49.06% as against Sensex's 3.57% rise.

The small-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 24.39 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

Ramco Systems said that Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company will be implementing Ramco Aviation Series 5 to manage operations and maintain its growing fleet of aircraft. This includes integration of operations such as Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), Supply Chain Management and Maintenance and Engineering (M&E), into a single platform, Ramco Systems said in a statement. The company added that Ramco Aviation suite powers over 2650 aircraft globally.

Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company is a state-owned company, enjoying nearly 30 years of helicopter operations experience in Vietnam. VNH South is one of leading helicopter service providers in South East Asia. Southern Service Flight Company (SSFC) also known as Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company is a Vietnam People's Army-owned chartered airline in Vietnam, which provides helicopter flights to various purposes, namely oil platform service, search and rescue operations and cargo freight service. The company is based in Vung Tau Airport, Vung Tau, Vietnam.

On a consolidated basis, Ramco Systems reported net profit of Rs 8.03 crore in Q3 December 2014 as against net loss of Rs 5.49 crore in Q3 December 2013. Net sales rose 41.80% to Rs 95.93 crore in Q3 December 2014 over Q3 December 2013.
