Reliance Industries fell 2.41% at Rs 1182 at 15:06 IST on BSE, extending recent losses.
Meanwhile, S&P BSE Sensex was down 305.99 points or 0.81% at 38,380.30.
On BSE, 3.70 lakh shares were traded in REC counter, compared to a 2-week average of 4.11 lakh shares. The share price hit an intraday high of Rs 1219.9 and an intraday low of Rs 1175.8. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 1417 on 03 May 2019. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 1017 on 25 Oct 2018.
Shares of Reliance Industries plunged 7.66% in six trading sessions to its current market price of Rs 1182, from a recent closing high of Rs 1280 on 22 July 2019.
On consolidated basis, Reliance Industries' net profit was up 6.8% to Rs 10,104 crore on a 21.9% increase in net sales to Rs 156976 crore in Q1 June 2019 over Q1 June 2018.
Reliance Industries is India's largest private sector company and engaged in hydrocarbon exploration and production, petroleum refining and marketing, retail and telecommunications.
