Rising Food Prices Push Retail Inflation To Eight Month High

The annual consumer price index-based inflation for September rose to 7.34% in September, jumping from 6.69% in the previous month on account of rising food prices. This marks the highest level recorded in eight months. Food inflation came in at 10.68% in September, following 9.05% in the previous month.
