At 60.29/30 per dollar
Rupee closed on a higher note paring last three days fall and was at 60.29/30 per dollar on Thursday (17 April 2014).The rupee was earlier at 60.37/38 per dollar at the close of business hours on Wednesday. The gain is attributed to gains in domestic stock market and dollar selling by large state-run banks which could be on behalf of the central bank.
