Rupee recovered after touching the key psychological level of 57 to the dollar on Thursday (06 June 2013), helped by dollar selling by some foreign and custodian banks.
Rupee closed at 56.84/85 per dollar, after earlier touching 57, its weakest since June 28, 2012. The rupee had closed at 56.7250/7350 on Wednesday.
