Sasken Communication Technologies rose 1.06% to Rs 186 at 9:33 IST on BSE after the company said it has successfully delivered full phone development of Inmarsat's IsatPhone 2 satellite mobile handset.
The announcement was made after market hours on Monday, 24 March 2014.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 26.34 points or 0.12% at 22,029.14.
On BSE, 1,004 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 11,000 shares in the past two weeks.
The stock hit a high of Rs 188.15 and a low of Rs 185.55 so far during the day.
Sasken Communication Technologies (Sasken) said it was deeply involved with all aspects of development Inmarsat's IsatPhone 2 satellite mobile handset viz. software, hardware, mechanical design, antenna design, system integration, testing, as well as manufacturing support. This engagement follows a successful partnership the two companies had earlier, for the development of IsatPhone Pro in 2010, the company said in a statement.

Sasken Communication Technologies' consolidated net profit declined 19.18% to Rs 11.12 crore in Q3 December 2013 over Q2 September 2013. Net sales remained unchanged QoQ at Rs 113.15 crore in Q3 December 2013.
