The Solvent Extractors' Association of India has compiled the Import data of Vegetable Oils (edible & non-edible) for the month of March 2016. Import of vegetable oils during March, 2016 is reported at 1,189,765 tons compared to 1,062,781 tons in March, 2015, consisting of 1,175,562 tons of edible oils and 14,203 tons of non-edible oils i.e. up by 12%. The overall import of vegetable oils during first five months of the current oil year 2015-16, November 2015 - March 2016 is reported at 6,314,782 tons compared to 5,358,224 tons i.e. up by 18%.
