Shipping Corporation of India fell 1.92% to Rs 51.10 at 15:05 IST on BSE on profit booking after the stock jumped 12.89% in the preceding seven trading sessions to Rs 52.10 on 13 April 2015, from a recent low of Rs 46.15 on 31 March 2015.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 103.63 points, or 0.36%, to 28,940.81.
On BSE, so far 1.27 lakh shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 2.12 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 52.60 and a low of Rs 50.35 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 73.25 on 11 June 2014. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 38.85 on 8 May 2014.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 13 April 2015, rising 3.17% compared with 1.90% rise in the Sensex. The scrip had also underperformed the market in past one quarter, falling 11.32% as against Sensex's 5.90% rise.
The small-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 465.80 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
