Shriram EPC slumps as net loss widens in Q4

Shriram EPC lost 6.61% to Rs 23.30 at 11:56 IST on BSE after the company reported net loss of Rs 198.28 crore in Q4 March 2016, higher than net loss of Rs 90.73 crore in Q4 March 2015.

The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 23 May 2016.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 30.80 points or 0.12% at 25,199.56.

On BSE, so far 6,671 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 5,134 shares in the past one quarter. The stock hit a high of Rs 24.55 and a low of Rs 23.25 so far during the day. The stock had hit a record low of Rs 23 on 17 February 2016. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 39.60 on 11 August 2015. The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 23 May 2016, sliding 2.54% compared with Sensex's 2.35% fall. The scrip had also underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 3.85% as against Sensex's 7.78% rise.

 

The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 330.63 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

Shriram EPC's net sales declined 9.8% to Rs 139.72 crore in Q4 March 2016 over Q4 March 2015.

Shriram EPC offers design, engineering, procurement, construction and project management services for power plants.
