Sintex Industries slumped 7.18% to Rs 40.70 at 14:06 IST on BSE, extending Thursday's 3.43% fall triggered by the National Stock Exchange's decision to exclude the stock from the futures and options segment.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) made the announcement after market hours on Wednesday, 19 June 2013. Shares of Sintex Industries fell 7.49% to Rs 43.85 on Thursday, 20 June 2013. It has fallen 14.13% in two sessions from Rs 47.40 on Wednesday, 19 June 2013.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 59.21 points, or 0.32%, to 18,660.08.
On BSE, 3.34 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against an average daily volume of 7.22 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 43.75 and a low of Rs 40.40 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 75.60 on 12 October 2012. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 42 on 26 March 2013.
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 20 June 2013, falling 15.92% compared with the Sensex's 7.44% fall. The scrip had also underperformed the market in past one quarter, sliding 10.05% as against Sensex's 0.87% fall.

NSE said futures and options (F&O) contracts for new expiry months in Sintex Industries will not be issued on expiry of existing contract months. However, the existing unexpired contracts of expiry months June 2013, July 2013 and August 2013 will continue to be available for trading till their respective expiry and new strikes will also be introduced in the existing contract months. Accordingly, no contracts shall be available for trading in Sintex Industries with effect from 30 August 2013.
Sintex Industries' consolidated net profit jumped 66% to Rs 151 crore on 38% growth in net income from operations to Rs 1396.70 crore in Q4 March 2013 over Q4 March 2012.
