Spicejet advanced 2.36% to Rs 108.50 after the low cost airliner's market share increased to 16.3% in October 2019 from 14.7% in September 2019.
The scrip traded in the range of Rs 108 and Rs 111.35 so far during the day.
As per the data released by aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the domestic air passenger traffic reportedly increased 3.98% to 12.31 million passengers in October 2019 from 11.84 million passengers in October 2018.
IndiGo maintained its lead position with 47.4% share of the domestic passenger market in October, the data showed.
SpiceJet reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 461.22 crore in Q2 September 2019, higher than net loss of Rs 382.71 crore in Q2 September 2018. Net sales rose 49.8% to 2761.51 crore in Q2 September 2019 over Q2 September 2018.
SpiceJet is a low-cost air carrier. SpiceJet operates 516 average daily flights to 60 destinations, including 51 domestic and 9 international ones.
