Surya Roshni rose 2.49% to Rs 222.05 at 14:21 IST on BSE after the company said it has bagged an order worth Rs 59 crore from Government of Odisha.
The announcement was made during trading hours today, 19 November 2018.Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 257.58 points, or 0.73% to 35,714.74.
On the BSE, 18,000 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 23,000 shares in the past two weeks. The stock had hit a high of Rs 224.70 and a low of Rs 217 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 522.35 on 9 February 2018. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 201 on 8 October 2018.
Surya Roshni said that it has obtained an order aggregating to Rs 59 crore for design, manufacture, testing, supply, operation and maintenance (O&M) of LED street lights & poles and other related works for implementation of greenfield street lighting projects for Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in Odisha from Government of Odisha, Housing & Urban Department.
Net profit of Surya Roshni rose 6.84% to Rs 25.15 crore on 22.76% rise in net sales to Rs 1394.80 crore in Q2 September 2018 over Q2 September 2017.
Surya Roshni is a manufacturing company with business interests in steel pipes, lighting, fans and home appliances, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipes.
