Swan Energy drops on profit booking

Swan Energy lost 3.99% to Rs 204.40 at 15:21 IST, with the stock reversing recent upmove on profit booking.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 58.34 points, or 0.17% to 34,561.83. The S&P BSE Mid-Cap index was down 40.77 points, or 0.22% to 18,127.

On the BSE, 2.72 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far, compared with average daily volumes of 2.12 lakh shares in the past one quarter. The stock had hit a high of Rs 215.25 and a low of Rs 202.50 so far during the day. The stock had hit a record high of Rs 217 on 11 January 2018. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 111.90 on 11 August 2017.

 

The mid-cap company has equity capital of Rs 24.43 crore. Face value per share is Re 1.

Shares of Swan Energy had gained 10.94% in three trading sessions to settle at Rs 212.90 yesterday, 11 January 2018, from its close of Rs 191.90 on 8 January 2018.

Swan Energy reported net profit of Rs 1.41 crore in Q2 September 2017 compared with net profit of Rs 2.16 crore in Q2 September 2016. Swan Energy's total income fell 51.6% to Rs 47.50 crore in Q2 September 2017 over Q2 September 2016.

Swan Energy is engaged in the manufacturing of textile products. The company is also engaged in the real estate development and energy businesses.
