Tara Jewels slumped 6.21% to Rs 20.40 at 12:49 IST on BSE after the company reported net loss of Rs 166.79 crore in Q2 September 2017, compared with net profit of Rs 0.63 crore in Q2 September 2016.
The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 29 November 2017.Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 278.69 points or 0.83% at 33,324.07.
On the BSE, 77,000 shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 82,545 shares in the past one quarter. The stock had hit a high of Rs 20.70 and a low of Rs 19.30 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 48.50 on 10 February 2017 and a record low of Rs 17.50 on 22 November 2017.
Tara Jewels' total revenue declined 72.89% to Rs 72.44 crore in Q2 September 2017 over Q2 September 2016.
Tara Jewels is predominately an exporter of studded diamond jewellery.
