Tata Power Company rose 2.07% to Rs 76.30 at 14:53 IST on BSE after the company said that its generation capacity increased by close to 9% in Q1 June 2016 over Q1 June 2015.

On BSE, so far 6.96 lakh shares were traded in the counter, compared with average daily volume of 4.92 lakh shares in the past one quarter. The stock hit a high of Rs 76.45 and a low of Rs 74 so far during the day. The stock had hit 52-week high of Rs 79.20 on 22 August 2016. The stock had hit 52-week low of Rs 55 on 12 February 2016. The stock had outperformed the market over the past 30 days till 23 August 2016, rising 3.89% compared with Sensex's 0.37% fall. The scrip, however, underperformed the market in past one quarter, underperforming 2.26% as against Sensex's 8.15% rise.
The large-cap company has equity capital of Rs 270.46 crore. Face value per share is Re 1.
Tata Power Company's standalone generation stood at 3,163 million units (MUs) in Q1 June 2016. Total consolidated generation stood at 11,122 MUs in Q1 June 2016. The company has a significant presence in the clean energy space with a gross installed capacity of 1,996 MW.
