Tech Mahindra gained 0.09% to Rs 2,878 at 13:25 IST on BSE after company said that Three Ireland's new customer service centre in Waterford was officially opened by Three Ireland and Tech Mahindra.
The company made the announcement during market hours today, 6 February 2015.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 77.13 points, or 0.27%, to 28,773.84.
On BSE, so far 31,978 shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 46,485 shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 2,920 and a low of Rs 2,857.05 so far during the day. The stock hit a record high of Rs 2,998 on 2 February 2015. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 1,677.65 on 11 April 2014.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 5 February 2015, rising 12.18% compared with 3.62% rise in the Sensex. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 10.1% as against Sensex's 3.35% rise.

The large-cap IT firm has equity capital of Rs 240.01 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
Tech Mahindra said the new centre in Waterford will bolster Three's operation and help deliver market-leading support and services to its customers. Tech Mahindra currently provides customer care services for Three's consumer customers as well as back office services. Tech Mahindra has set up the centre with the vision to strategically position presence in Ireland.
Commenting on the opening, Sujit Baksi, Chief Executive, Business Services Group, Tech Mahindra said, this deal with Three Ireland is strategically placed to help Tech Mahindra grow its market share in Ireland.
Tech Mahindra's consolidated net profit rose 11.9% to Rs 805.30 crore on 4.57% rise in total income to Rs 5799.27 crore in Q3 December 2014 over Q2 September 2014.
