Tech Mahindra and United Spirits rose by 1.23% to 1.91% at 10:00 IST on BSE as both these stocks will enter the coveted 50-unit CNX Nifty index from 28 March 2014.
Tech Mahindra (up 1.91%) and United Spirits (up 1.23%), edged higher.
Ranbaxy Laboratories (down 1.44%) and Jaiprakash Associates (down 0.99%), edged lower.
The S&P BSE Sensex was up 68.21 points, or 0.33% at 21,055.20.
Tech Mahindra had outperformed the market over the past one month till 26 February 2014, rising 1.57% compared with the Sensex's 0.69% fall. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 6.06% as against Sensex's 2.75% rise.

United Spirits had underperformed the market over the past one month till 26 February 2014, sliding 12.21% compared with the Sensex's 0.69% fall. The scrip had also underperformed the market in past one quarter, falling 8.38% as against Sensex's 2.75% rise.
Jaiprakash Associates had underperformed the market over the past one month till 26 February 2014, falling 13.37% compared with the Sensex's 0.69% fall. The scrip had also underperformed the market in past one quarter, falling 14.74% as against Sensex's 2.75% rise.
Ranbaxy Laboratories had outperformed the market over the past one month till 26 February 2014, rising 9.24% compared with the Sensex's 0.69% fall. The scrip had, however, underperformed the market in past one quarter, falling 12.62% as against Sensex's 2.75% rise.
Tech Mahindra and United Spirits will replace Ranbaxy Laboratories and Jaiprakash Associates in the National Stock Exchange's (NSE) 50-share CNX Nifty index with effect from 28 March 2014.
