Stock markets will remain shut tomorrow, 8 November 2018 on account of Diwali Balipratipada.
Back home,amid a divergent trend among various index constituents, the key benchmark indices settled with small gains yesterday, 6 November 2018. The Sensex settled a tad below the psychological 35,000 level after moving above and below that level amid volatility in intraday trade. The Sensex rose 40.99 points or 0.12% to settle at 34,991.91.
The trading activity on that day showed that the foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 499.71 crore yesterday, 6 November 2018, as per provisional data released by the stock exchanges. Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 118.69 crore yesterday, 6 November 2018, as per provisional data.
