Turnover on NSE's F&O segment jumps

Nifty May futures at premium

The Nifty May 2018 futures traded at 10522, a premium of 8.15 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 10513.85 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 15.16 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 8.83 lakh crore registered in the previous session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 83.50 points or 0.80% to settle at 10,513.85.

Tata Motors, State Bank of India and Infosys were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Tata Motors May 2018 futures traded at 290.40, at a premium over spot closing price of 289.85. State Bank of India May 2018 futures traded at 268.40, at a discount over spot closing price of 268.80. Infosys May 2018 futures traded at 1222.30, at a premium over spot closing price of 1220.

 

The May 2018 F&O contracts expire on 31 May 2018.
