Turnover on NSE's F&O segment rises

Nifty July 2017 futures trade at premium over spot closing

The Nifty July 2017 futures traded at 9852.50, at a premium of 25.35 points over Nifty's spot closing of 9827.15 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 5.75 lakh crore from turnover of Rs 3.73 lakh crore registered yesterday, 17 July 2017.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index lost 88.80 points or 0.9% at 9,827.15, its lowest closing level since 12 July 2017.

ITC, Reliance Industries (RIL), State Bank of India (SBI), Jubilant FoodWorks and Tata Steel were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. ITC July 2017 futures traded at 286.10, at a premium over spot closing of 284.70. RIL July 2017 futures traded at 1525.30, at a premium over spot closing of 1520.50.

 

SBI July 2017 futures traded at 291.30, near spot closing of 290.50. Jubilant FoodWorks July 2017 futures traded at 1322.95, near spot closing of 1322. Tata Steel July 2017 futures traded at 554.25, at a discount compared with spot closing of 562.50.

The July 2017 F&O contracts will expire on 27 July 2017.
