Turnover on NSE's F&O segment spurts

Nifty April futures at modest premium

The Nifty April 2018 futures traded at 10579.15, a premium of 13.85 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 10565.30 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 12.15 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 7.91 lakh crore registered in the previous session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 39.10 points or 0.37% to settle at 10,565.30.

Hindalco Industries, Vedanta, Tata Steel, IndusInd Bank and Jindal Steel & Power (JSPL) were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Hindalco Industries April 2018 futures traded at 263.85, at a discount from spot closing of 264.20. Vedanta April 2018 futures traded at 311.35, at a premium over spot closing of 310.45.

 

Tata Steel April 2018 futures traded at 621.70, at a premium over spot closing of 621.40. IndusInd Bank April 2018 futures traded at 1,826.85, at a discount from spot closing of 1,835. JSPL April 2018 futures traded at 260.55, at a premium over spot closing of 259.40.

The April 2018 F&O contracts expire on 26 April 2018.
