The US stock market finished session at fresh record highs on Friday, 27 December 2019, as hopes of an imminent trade truce between the world's two largest economies and an improving global economy continued to fuel investors risk sentiments. At closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 23.86 points or 0.08% to 28,645.26 and the S&P 500 index gained 0.11 point, or 0.00%, to 3,240.02, while the Nasdaq Composite index fell 15.77 points, or 0.17%, to 9,006.62.
