V2 Retail spurted 11.39% to Rs 397.15 at 11:20 IST on BASE after the company announced opening of one operational retail store of the company at Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir.
The announcement was made during market hours today, 26 February 2018. V2 Retail added that it now has 49 operational retail stores. The stock had risen 3.14% to Rs 356.55 on Friday, 23 February 2018.Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 242.26 points or 0.71% at 34,384.41. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 133.62 points or 0.74% at 18,129.84, outperforming the Sensex.
On the BSE, 33,946 shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 61,087 shares in the past one quarter. The stock had hit a high of Rs 412 and a low of Rs 362 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 555.45 on 12 December 2016. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 178.65 on 23 February 2017.
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 23 February 2018, falling 19.64% compared with the Sensex's 5.53% fall. The scrip had also underperformed the market over the past one quarter sliding 30.88% as against the Sensex's 1.65% rise. The scrip had, however, outperformed the market over the past one year jumping 97.92% as against the Sensex's 18.17% rise.
The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 33.92 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
V2 Retail's net profit declined 59.8% to Rs 13.67 crore on 0.3% fall in net sales to Rs 152.35 crore in Q3 December 2017 over Q3 December 2016.
