Vedanta Ltd rose 2.23% today to trade at Rs 144.3. The S&P BSE Metal index is up 1.36% to quote at 8884.75. The index is down 0.16 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd increased 1.84% and Tata Steel Ltd added 1.73% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went down 34.54 % over last one year compared to the 0.47% fall in benchmark SENSEX.
Vedanta Ltd has added 1.94% over last one month compared to 0.16% fall in S&P BSE Metal index and 0.91% drop in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 21935 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 7.93 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 246.9 on 03 Oct 2018. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 125.7 on 22 Aug 2019.
