Voltas tumbles after weak Q4 results

Voltas fell 7.46% to Rs 540 at 10:27 IST on BSE after consolidated net profit fell 3.13% to Rs 194.19 crore on 1.15% increase in net sales to Rs 2021.30 crore in Q4 March 2018 over Q4 March 2017.

The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 17 May 2018.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 137.52 points, or 0.39% to 35,011.60.

On the BSE, 3.33 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 1.08 lakh shares in the past two weeks. The stock had hit a high of Rs 559.35 and a low of Rs 531.75 so far during the day. The stock hit a record high of Rs 675 on 28 December 2017. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 403.50 on 23 May 2017.

 

Consolidated net profit rose 11.16% to Rs 577.90 crore on 6.47% increase in net sales to Rs 6356.79 crore in the year ended March 2018 over the year ended March 2017.
