Volumes jump at Allcargo Logistics counter

Britannia Industries, Whirlpool of India, Bata India and Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 22 May 2015.

Allcargo Logistics clocked volume of 1.96 lakh shares by 13:41 IST on BSE, a 23.67-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 8,000 shares. The stock advanced 2.96% at Rs 339.

Britannia Industries notched up volume of 2.33 lakh shares, a 17.45-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 13,000 shares. The stock jumped 6.94% at Rs 2,444. The stock hit a record high of Rs 2,556.45 in intraday trade. Britannia Industries' consolidated net profit rose 55.4% to Rs 167 crore on 14.3% growth in revenue to Rs 2032 crore in Q4 March 2015 over Q4 March 2014. The company announced Q4 results after market hours yesterday, 21 May 2015.

 

Whirlpool of India saw volume of 1.06 lakh shares, a 8.23-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 13,000 shares. The stock fell 0.71% at Rs 746.30.

Bata India clocked volume of 2.54 lakh shares, a 7.88-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 32,000 shares. The stock dropped 0.31% at Rs 1,116.40.

Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation saw volume of 2.26 lakh shares, a 7.81-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 29,000 shares. The stock surged 10.03% at Rs 470.
