Astral Poly Technik clocked volume of 3.16 lakh shares by 12:39 IST on BSE, a 8.26-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 38,000 shares. The stock rose 3.22% to Rs 210.05.
Tata Motors-DVR notched up volume of 6.71 lakh shares, a 4.54-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.48 lakh shares. The stock rose 3.02% to Rs 163.90.
Coal India saw volume of 5.60 lakh shares, a 2.66-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 2.11 lakh shares. The stock rose 1.19% to Rs 292.85.
JBF Industries clocked volume of 5.13 lakh shares, a 1.63-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 3.15 lakh shares. The stock fell 1.47% to Rs 97.40.
Ranbaxy Laboratories saw volume of 17.05 lakh shares, a 1.27-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 13.45 lakh shares. The stock rose 3.47% to Rs 329.90 on bargain hunting after the stock slumped 30.27% to Rs 318.85 on Monday, 16 September 2013, after the US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) issued an import alert against company's Mohali plant in Punjab on Friday, 13 September 2013.
