Eicher Motors clocked volume of 12.35 lakh shares by 13:30 IST on BSE, a 100.03 times surge over two-week average daily volume of 12,000 shares. The stock slumped 5.9% at Rs 17,135.
AIA Engineering notched up volume of 2.04 crore shares, a 13.45-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 15,000 shares. The stock rose 1.53% at Rs 982.60.
Nestle India saw volume of 52,000 shares, a 4.16-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 13,000 shares. The stock dropped 3.25% at Rs 5,990. The Delhi government has reportedly prohibited the sale of Maggi Noodles, a Nestle India product, for 15 days claiming high levels of lead is obtained in preliminary testing.
Bayer CropScience clocked volume of 14,000 shares, a 3.69-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 4,000 shares. The stock gained 2.18% at Rs 3,790. Bayer CropScience's board of directors at its meeting held yesterday, 3 June 2015, unanimously approved a buyback proposal for purchase by the company of upto 12.65 lakh equity shares (representing 3.45% of the total equity capital), from all the shareholders of the company on a proportionate basis through the "Tender Offer" route at a price of Rs 4000 per equity share, aggregating to approximately Rs 506 crore.
Unitech saw volume of 3.54 crore shares, a 3.01-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 1.17 crore shares. The stock jumped 7.13% at Rs 9.32. The stock gained on bargain hunting after plunging 35.27% during the previous trading session.
