GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Healthcare clocked volume of 31,000 shares by 13:38 IST on BSE, a 38.51-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 1,000 shares. The stock tumbled 5.52% at Rs 6,038.35.
Sun TV Network notched up volume of 16.40 lakh shares, a 25.84-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 63,000 shares. The stock tanked 20.47% at Rs 283.40 on reports the Ministry of Home Affairs has struck down the proposal by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry for giving security clearance to company's 33 television channels.
Meanwhile, Sun TV Network during market hours today, 8 June 2015 in a clarification with regard to news titled MHA denies clearance to Sun TV channels, may go off air" said that no communication has been received by the company in this regard from any Ministry and all its channels continue to be on air.

Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company saw volume of 6.82 lakh shares, a 3.39-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 2.01 lakh shares. The stock surged 7.51% at Rs 406.35.
