Volumes jump at HSIL counter

Westlife Development, Stampede Capital, MMTC and Hindustan Copper are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 13 March 2014.

HSIL clocked volume of 35.76 lakh shares by 13:42 IST on BSE, a 148.48-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 24,000 shares. The stock jumped 8.62% at Rs 119.70.

Westlife Development notched up volume of 2.08 lakh shares, a 122.54-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 2,000 shares. The stock lost 0.54% at Rs 370.

Stampede Capital saw volume of 23.39 lakh shares, a 23.31-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1 lakh shares. The stock was locked at 10% lower circuit at Rs 54.05.

 

MMTC clocked volume of 24.63 lakh shares, a 15.75-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.56 lakh shares. The stock spurted 12.46% at Rs 53.70.

Hindustan Copper saw volume of 11.28 lakh shares, a 9.62-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 1.17 lakh shares. The stock surged 10.9% at Rs 68.65.
