Ingersoll-Rand (India) clocked volume of 1.52 lakh shares by 12:35 IST on BSE, a 43.44-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 3,000 shares. The stock rose 2.29% to Rs 335.20.
Oscar Investments notched up volume of 3.20 lakh shares, a 31.79-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 10,000 shares. The stock rose 3.47% to Rs 162.45.
Max India saw volume of 2.90 lakh shares, a 10.06-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 29,000 shares. The stock fell 0.60% to Rs 199.
Tata Elxsi clocked volume of 2.20 lakh shares, a 5.39-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 41,000 shares. The stock jumped 5.46% to Rs 239.55.
Cairn India saw volume of 5.07 lakh shares, a 4.51-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 1.12 lakh shares. The stock rose 3% to Rs 326.65 after the company said its board will meet on 26 November 2013, to consider a proposal for buyback of equity shares of the company. The announcement was made before trading hours today, 22 November 2013.
