Volumes jump at Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores counter

GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals, Nestle India, Polaris Financial Technology and Balkrishna Industries are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 20 March 2014.

Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores clocked volume of 2.03 lakh shares by 12:57 IST on BSE, a 14.48-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 14,000 shares. The stock spurted 8.89% to Rs 538.60.

GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals notched up volume of 1.56 lakh shares, a 13.40-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 12,000 shares. The stock fell 0.41% to Rs 2,645.

Nestle India saw volume of 51,000 shares, a 11.80-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 4,000 shares. The stock fell 0.27% to Rs 4,811.10.

 

Polaris Financial Technology clocked volume of 22.76 lakh shares, a 3.55-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 6.41 lakh shares. The stock jumped 6.54% to Rs 195.35, with the stock extending recent rally triggered by the company announcing the demerger of its products business into a separately listed company.

Balkrishna Industries saw volume of 2.68 lakh shares, a 2.71-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 99,000 shares. The stock fell 0.04% to Rs 447.
