Volumes jump at Secure Earth Technologies counter

Havells India, Tata Communications, Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores and Aban Offshore are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 30 October 2013.

Secure Earth Technologies clocked volume of 75.13 lakh shares by 13:45 IST on BSE, a 29.7-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 2.53 lakh shares. The stock was locked at 5% upper circuit at Rs 11.55.

Havells India notched up volume of 2.66 lakh shares, a 25.17-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 11,000 shares. The stock surged 5.89% to Rs 741 after net profit surged 44.55% to Rs 125.72 crore on 22.31% growth in total income to Rs 1181.76 crore in Q2 September 2013 over Q2 September 2012. The Q2 result was announced during trading hours today, 30 October 2013.

 

Tata Communications saw a volume of 3.15 lakh shares, a 9.13-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 35,000 shares. The stock spurted 9.26% to Rs 249.65 after the company reported consolidated net profit of Rs 80.36 crore in Q2 September 2013 compared with net loss of Rs 274.24 crore in Q2 September 2012. Net sales rose 16% to Rs 4952.61 crore in Q2 September 2013 over Q2 September 2012. The result was announced after market hours on Tuesday, 29 October 2013.

Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores clocked volume of 75,000 shares, a 5.61-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 13,000 shares. The stock jumped 12.94% to Rs 712.

Aban Offshore saw volume of 5.05 lakh shares, a 4.81-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 1.05 lakh shares. The stock jumped 6.56% to Rs 249.35.
