Trent clocked volume of 1.45 lakh shares by 12:49 IST on BSE, a 47.41-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 3,000 shares. The stock rose 1.17% to Rs 1,780.
GHCL notched up volume of 8.92 lakh shares, a 7.84-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.14 lakh shares. The stock rose 8.81% to Rs 157.55.
Pidilite Industries saw volume of 1.35 lakh shares, a 4.60-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 29,000 shares. The stock rose 4.42% to Rs 643.80 after consolidated net profit rose 89.24% to Rs 152.60 crore on 19.66% increase in total income to Rs 1259.47 crore in Q4 March 2016 over Q4 March 2015. The announcement was made after market hours yesterday, 19 May 2016.
Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical clocked volume of 40.21 lakh shares, a 3.17-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 12.69 lakh shares. The stock fell 1.91% to Rs 139.
Axis Bank saw volume of 17.43 lakh shares, a 3.04-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 5.74 lakh shares. The stock rose 0.59% to Rs 493.20.
