Unitech, Nestle India, Adani Enterprises and Jaiprakash Associates are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 3 June 2015.
Tube Investments of India clocked volume of 7.89 lakh shares by 13:09 IST on BSE, a 113.67 times surge over two-week average daily volume of 7,000 shares. The stock fell 2.08% at Rs 329.
Unitech notched up volume of 5.55 crore shares, a 14.29-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 38.84 lakh shares. The stock lost 36.76% at Rs 8.50.
Nestle India saw volume of 57,000 shares, a 10.44-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 5,000 shares. The stock dropped 8.68% at Rs 6,216.65. As per reports, the Delhi government has called Nestle India's popular snack Maggi unsafe for consumption. Karnataka and Haryana governments have decided to test the samples, reports added. But the Goa government has reportedly given a clean chit to Maggi.
Adani Enterprises clocked volume of 52.01 lakh shares, a 8.55-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 6.08 lakh shares. The stock fell 0.79% at Rs 119.
Jaiprakash Associates saw volume of 1.21 crore shares, a 6.45-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 18.85 lakh shares. The stock slumped 20.36% at Rs 13.10.
