Volumes jump at Wallfort Financial Services counter

Tata Chemicals, Tata Motors, Tata Global Beverages and Royal Orchid Hotels are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 19 September 2017.

Wallfort Financial Services clocked volume of 11.84 lakh shares by 12:30 IST on BSE, a 141.03-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 8,000 shares. The stock jumped 4.95% at Rs 86.90.

Tata Chemicals notched up volume of 1.05 crore shares, a 126.55-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 84,000 shares. The stock rose 2.61% at Rs 659.35. As per reports, around 3.23 crore shares or 1.12% stake of Tata Motors, 1.05 crore shares or 4.1% stake of Tata Chemicals and 4.32 crore shares or 6.8% stake of Tata Global Beverages changed hands in various block deals.

 

On 12 September 2017, the company's board accepted an offer from Tata Sons for sale of 4.31 crore equity shares of Tata Global Beverages held by the company to Tata Sons.

Tata Motors saw volume of 4.72 crore shares, a 74.25-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 6.36 lakh shares. The stock jumped 4.82% at Rs 424.90.

Tata Global Beverages saw volume of 4.4 crore shares, a 68.64-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 6.42 lakh shares. The stock gained 2.18% at Rs 218. On 12 September 2017, the company had said that it proposes to sell up to 1.05 crore shares of Tata Chemicals to Tata Sons. The transaction is expected to be executed on or after 18 September 2017 at or around the prevailing price on the date of proposed sale, subject to no material market movements in price since the date of this disclosure.

Royal Orchid Hotels clocked volume of 12.22 lakh shares, a 45.53-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 27,000 shares. The stock surged 4.56% at Rs 133.10.
