Bosch, Havells India, Amara Raja Batteries and Karur Vysya Bank are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 19 November 2013.
Wheels India clocked volume of 87,000 shares by 13:40 IST on BSE, a 64.67-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 1,000 shares. The stock jumped 15.55% to Rs 796.40.
Bosch notched up volume of 10,000 shares, a 17.12-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1,000 shares. The stock rose 0.88% at Rs 8786.
Bosch during market hours today, 19 November 2013, said that the illegal 'Tool Down' strike that was resorted to by the workmen of Bangalore plant has been withdrawn with effect from today, 19 November 2013, beginning with the first shift of production. Earlier on 15 November 2013, Bosch had said that it had got notice of 'Tool Down' strike by union and workmen of Bangalore plant.
Havells India saw volume of 2.08 lakh shares, a 10.87-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 19,000 shares. The stock rose 0.07% to Rs 759.
Amara Raja Batteries clocked volume of 2.98 lakh shares, a 9.89-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 30,000 shares. The stock rose 1.94% to Rs 319.85.

Karur Vysya Bank saw volume of 2.50 lakh shares, a 4.76-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 53,000 shares. The stock lost 2.23% to Rs 327.30 after two block deals aggregating 2.30 lakh shares were executed on BSE.
One block deal of 2 lakh shares was executed at Rs 328 per share at 9:45 IST while another deal of 30,024 shares was executed at Rs 330 per share at 9:52 IST. The two block deals constitute 0.21% of Karur Vysya Bank's equity.
